Gather Thrift and Café is seeking skilled and customer-oriented employees to join our team in the Café and Thrift Store.

Cafe Responsibilities
As a Barista, the team member will be preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, other beverages, and a variety of food items to customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be friendly and outgoing, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, other beverages, and food items to customers.
• Operate coffee and food equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, convection oven, blenders, and toaster oven.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of food and beverages, including the correct proportions of ingredients, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and work area.
• Follow food and beverage safety and sanitation procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service, engage with customers, and make recommendations.

Thrift Responsibilities
Thrift responsibilities include assisting customers in a thrift store environment. Their primary responsibilities include:
•               Customer Service: Thrift employees are responsible for greeting customers, providing assistance, and ensuring that they have an enjoyable shopping experience.
•               Sorting and Displaying Merchandise: Thrift employees sort through donated items to determine which items can be sold. They organize and display merchandise on the sales floor.
•               Pricing Items: Thrift employees determine the prices of items based on their condition and market value. They must have a good understanding of the products they sell to ensure that they are priced accurately.
•               Operating Cash Registers: Thrift employees handle cash and credit card transactions using cash registers and POS systems. They must accurately process payments and provide receipts to customers.
•               Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: Thrift employees are responsible for keeping the store clean and safe. This includes ensuring that aisles are clear, floors are clean, and merchandise is properly stored.
•               Donor Relations: Thrift employees interact with donors who bring in donated items. They must maintain positive relationships with donors and provide them with receipts for tax purposes.
•               Overall, thrift employees play an essential role in ensuring that thrift stores run efficiently and provide customers with a positive shopping experience.

Requirements:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
